I think I'll make a big sign and stick it to my fridge, lol.

I keep forgetting to have a probiotic food at each meal too.

We've only been having about a cup of broth per day. I was planning on upping that amount when we start intro, but maybe I should before that. I never thought about the gelatin helping my feet, but it makes sense.

The last batch of beef broth I made has so much gelatin in it that it looks like Jello when cold :-)Changeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02477874588113248671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2855030890117101191.post-37413754625058433002010-08-15T06:30:25.236-07:002010-08-15T06:30:25.236-07:00Oh, sorry about that. I think I recall having two cups a day in the beginning... I wish I'd done like you're doing and kept a really good food diary! I thought the broth might have helped my feet because of the gelatin.Starlenehttp://www.u-sayranch.com/GAPSnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2855030890117101191.post-69888661515806302342010-08-13T11:13:15.441-07:002010-08-13T11:13:15.441-07:00Hi Starlene,

I made some yesterday, it's in the fridge waiting for me :-)
So you think that's what helped with your feet? Interesting... do you remember how much you were drinking?

And yes, I'm happy about 29 days.. I'll have to wait until next month to see if that will stick. It's been crazy long for years now.

I've been getting cramps for the last few years as well. Until my hormones got really messed up I never had them. I'll have to re-read the Fibre Menace site. Lots of good info.

Thanks for the congratulations! We are pretty happy to have survived this long too, lol!Changeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02477874588113248671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2855030890117101191.post-31772216214937965562010-08-13T06:22:55.969-07:002010-08-13T06:22:55.969-07:00By the way, I've been meaning to ask... where&...By the way, I've been meaning to ask... where's your broth? I feel certain it was a big part of the healing for my feet. We started broth before even starting on GAPS "officially". :-) I had broth for breakfast for a long time, and would like to get back to it.Starlenehttp://www.u-sayranch.com/GAPSnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2855030890117101191.post-80149318318981382462010-08-13T06:18:09.542-07:002010-08-13T06:18:09.542-07:0029 days for your cycle sounds much better than 35-...29 days for your cycle sounds much better than 35-40 days! I also recall having some extra painful periods in my first six months on GAPS. However, the last one I had, in June was completely pain-free. I was amazed. No cramping at all. I read on Fiber Menace "The strong pressure of a distended small and large bowel on a hypersensitive uterus during the menstrual period is the primary cause of pain and discomfort. Hence, the approach to functional PMS (no other damage), should always start from eliminating the causes of intestinal distention — primarily, large stools, bloating, and mild inflammation — conditions typical for IBS." I'm pretty sure I'm now starting menopause so I'll have to wait until my next period starts to see if they remain pain-free. They should, if what Fiber Menace says is correct. Congratulations on 35 days on GAPS!Starlenehttp://www.u-sayranch.com/gapsnoreply@blogger.com
